Got a dog? Like to jog? Come out to the 25th Annual Atlanta Dog Jog Saturday, May 12 in Piedmont Park! Dogs and people of all athletic levels are invited to jog or walk a one or two mile course to support two great causes – the Georgia Veterinary Medical Association Foundation and Canine Assistants, an Alpharetta-based non-profit that breeds, raises and trains working dogs for children and adults with disabilities. Last week we, along with 3,000 of our closest friends, headed over to Howell Mill Rd. to check out Atlanta’s newest culinary adventure – the Atlanta Food Truck Park & Market! If you aren’t familiar with it yet, the Atlanta Food Truck Park is the first permanent food truck spot in Atlanta. The rotation of food trucks (approximately 15 at any given time) will be dishing out a variety of meal and treat options every day from 11am to 4pm and 5pm to 10pm. The location also includes live music, plenty of seating and a weekend farmers market beginning this weekend, May 5 and 6 from 9am to 1pm. There’s plenty of free parking and the location is super accessible – only about two miles from the heart of all the exciting growth happening in Apex West Midtown area. Continue reading
