Grab your friends and head to the Masquerade this Saturday, January 26, from 2:00-7:00pm for the Atlanta Winter Beer Festival! According to my iPhone, it’s going to be a sunny 52 degrees Saturday – perfect for hanging out with friends, beer, food and music. (Though if 52 degrees is not quite warm enough for you, know that the event takes place mostly inside and in tents. If the weather holds up, you’ll also be able to enjoy some time outside.)
Here’s how the festival works. For $40 ($48 day of event), you’ll get a souvenir cup and beer samples from more than 100 brewers and breweries from Georgia and around the country. You can check out the complete beer list here. There will also be plenty of tasty festival food available for purchase. Festival goers will enjoy music from performers including Go Box, The Acorns, Nelson Brownstone, Angie Goodale, and Robbie Levin.
This event sold out last year, so get your tickets soon if you want to go!
If you do go, and if you haven’t been to the Masquerade area in a while, you are likely going to notice some big things happening in the neighborhood – which I would encourage you to check out. Make a day of it and take a stroll on the BeltLine Eastside Trail. Visit the beautiful Historic Fourth Ward Park. Gander over at the progress happening to create Ponce City Market (formerly City Hall East). You may even see the beginnings of construction happening at 755 North, a new apartment building at North and Somerset, perfect for those of us who want to be in the middle of it all. It’s going to be a beautiful day, so get out there and enjoy your city, Atlanta!
