Memorial Day events are just hours away!

Memorial DayCome on, Atlanta!  You can do it!  You can push through these last few hours of the work week to get to the Memorial Day holiday you’ve been laser-focused on for days.    Just to help the time pass, here is a list of some events happening this weekend for those of you who are staying in town.   And lucky you, the weather looks just perfect.

36th Annual Atlanta Jazz Festival – Piedmont Park, May 25-27.  Celebrate jazz legends and up-and-coming jazz greats in Atlanta’s largest green space.

Decatur Arts Festival – Downtown Decatur, May 25-26.  Artist market, children’s festival, performing arts, and plenty of food and beverages.  

Brew at the Zoo – Zoo Atlanta, May 25, 5:30pm-9:30pm.  Sample beer and wine and enjoy live music while you spend an evening with the animals!   Tickets start at $38.

Arrested Development Premiere at Bone Lick BBQ!  Sunday, May 25 at 4:00pm watch the new 4th season of Arrested Development in its entirety.  Bone Lick will be serving frozen bananas to celebrate!

Memorial Day Grant Park Cookout – Grant Park, Monday, May 27, 12:00pm.  Enjoy BBQ treats from Bone Lick BBQ and old school beats from the DJs at P’cheen.   These guys know how to have a good time.  The event is brought to you by Georgiaville Foods, so expect additional tasty bites from Pizzeria Vesuvius and P’cheen.

Midtown Bowl – If you need a break from the sun, head over to Midtown Bowl to knock down some pins.   The lanes will be open all day Monday!

And of course, while you are out enjoying the long weekend with friends and family, we hope you take a moment to remember those who have died while fighting to protect our freedom.   Have a wonderful Memorial Day, Atlanta!
