Holman & Finch star mixologist now serving up drinks at The Drafting Table

Andy MinchowStar mixologist, Andy Minchow, has set up bar at downtown Atlanta’s The Drafting Table until his new restaurant concept, Ration & Dram, is ready to open.

The Drafting Table is honored to have Andy tend their bar even if only temporarily.  His unique creations, including “The Dastardly Deed,” which contains a tasty mix of St. George dry rye, basil, muddled lime, simple syrup, and absinthe have been a big hit among Drafting Table patrons.

Andy’s presence at The Drafting Table exposes downtown Atlanta to the sophisticated cocktails one typically only experiences in Buckhead, West Midtown, and Decatur’s finest restaurants.   You can now get these complex cocktails in the laid back downtown atmosphere of the Drafting Table and enjoy them alongside the restaurant’s delicious and affordable farm-to-table menu items.

Andy will only be at the Drafting Table for a limited time – likely for the next 3 months or so – so head over to the Pencil Factory soon to experience his creations for yourself.

So many restaurant deals, so little time…

You gotta eat.  And sometimes, you gotta eat out.  But you also gotta watch your wallet.  Fortunately, we’ve been keeping up with some great offers from a few of our favorite dining spots.   If only there were more meals in the day… thank goodness for snacks!

Press Buzz for Chow Bing

Chow BingChow Bing, the new healthy and affordable Chinese restaurant that opened recently at the Pencil Factory Flats and Shops downtown, has had a pretty incredible first few weeks.

If you’re just now hearing about Chow Bing for the first time, here’s the concept:

Chow Bing differentiates itself from traditional Chinese restaurants with its focus on natural (and gluten-free upon request) ingredients.   The restaurant’s owner, Gary Lin, prides himself on working with responsible suppliers.  He uses meats from animals that are humanely raised without antibiotics or growth hormones, serves sustainable seafood, and purchases vegetables primarily from local sources.   And after all of that, the delicious food is still affordable.   Diners can enjoy Chow Bing’s build-your-own Bing (burrito) or Bowl with premium protein and vegetable combinations starting at $8.00.  All menu items are cooked to order.
